Wins Constitutional Oratorical Contest
Advances to the District Contest in
Hondo
Congratulations
to Miss Shai Searcy for winning the American Legion Constitutional Oratorical
Contest. Shai wrote and delivered a spectacular speech on the Free Enterprise
System. Shai will now represent Carrizo Springs at the district contest where
she will compete against speakers from the surrounding areas including Laredo,
Medina Valley, Crystal City, Eagle Pass, Devine, Hondo and others. The contest
will be held on January 21 in Hondo.
Other awesome competitors who represented Carrizo Springs with utmost
honor and pride include Jackie Reynolds and Juan Oyervides.
